Through a series of well-orchestrated events, ILF Colorado Youth Leadership Association (ICYLA) brings Colorado youth together to create unique opportunities and values for the communities.
Youth Leadership Retreat
Cultivate youth servant leadership. Promote civic awareness, public engagement, and entrepreneurial spirit. ICYLA hosts workshops, organizes field trips, and collaborate with corporate and political leaders for professional immersive experiences for motivated youth leaders.
AAPI Heritage Celebration
Celebrate the AAPI heritage. Enrich the multi-cultural community. ICYLA observes the Asian Heritage Month of May by commemorating Asian merits and contributing to the vibrant American society.
Youth Leadership Award Ceremony
Envision new prospects and opportunities by celebrating past accomplishments. ICYLA devotes a special occasion to recognize youth leaders’ efforts and impacts and to draft more services for more positive impacts.
Path to D1 Technique
Opportunity to be coached by former Olympian Michael Zhan. Coach Zhan competed in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea in the event Men’s 200m Butterfly, and has extensive teaching experience. As the coach of the Brazil National Team from 2011-2017, he has instructed swimmers at the 2017 FINA World Cup. Coach Zhan’s focus is on honing technique for young athletes and fostering a love for swimming to be carried to the D1 level.
