Joshua Liu

Joshua is a junior at Cherry Creek High School with a strong passion for STEM and educational equity. He is an active member of the math club, speech and debate team, cybersecurity team, and junior varsity swim team. Outside of school, he enjoys chess, swimming, skiing, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

Joshua has a strong record of achievement in math competitions. He has competed in various mathematical competitions, qualifying for the national training camp. Beyond competing, Joshua enjoys sharing his passion for mathematics with other aspiring students. He has developed curricula and taught classes for the Denver Chinese School (DCS), Denver Math Club (DMC), and Colorado Math Circle (CMC). 

Joshua has also taken various leadership positions, as he currently serves as President of DMC and a co-founder of Equity Learning, a non-profit organization focused on providing resources to underserved communities. Driven by inequitable access to academic resources, he works with his peers to expand educational opportunities and support children in need to build strong foundations in STEM literacy. In recognition of his service, he received the 2024 President’s Volunteer Service Award (Gold).
