Charlie Yu is currently a student at Lutheran High School in Parker, Colorado, and a dedicated student leader who is passionate about cultural engagement, community service, and bringing people together. Through his involvement in school and community organizations, he has developed experience in leadership, public speaking, cultural outreach, and service.

At Lutheran High School, Charlie is the Founder and President of the Chinese Tea Club, an officially recognized student organization listed among the school’s Clubs & Organizations. According to school leadership, the Chinese Tea Club is LuHi’s first student-led and first Asian-led club. Through the club, Charlie has introduced students to Chinese tea culture while creating opportunities for cultural learning and connection. His work has also helped bring greater visibility to Asian cultural activities on campus through school announcements and yearbook recognition.

Beyond the Tea Club, Charlie has been actively involved in a variety of cultural and community activities. He has participated in Chinese calligraphy association performances and cultural events, including opportunities to represent Chinese culture at community events and to meet and take a photo with the mayor. He has also participated in lion dance performances, Chinese New Year celebrations, and other cultural outreach programs. These experiences have allowed him to share Chinese culture with broader audiences while strengthening his confidence in public speaking, performance, teamwork, and community engagement.
