Ethan Yang

Ethan Yang is currently a student at Grandview High School and a dedicated Asian American student who hopes to make a positive impact on both individuals and his community. He enjoys challenging himself through academics while looking for opportunities to support those around him.

Outside of class, Ethan participates in Congressional Debate, where he has developed strong public speaking skills and learned how to think critically about important issues. He is also a competitive fencer, a sport that has taught him how to stay focused under pressure and continue improving through consistent effort.

Ethan is especially interested in biomedical engineering and technology because of their potential to improve people’s lives. He enjoys exploring how innovation can be used to solve real problems and create meaningful change.

Through ILF, Ethan hopes to connect with other motivated students while growing as a leader. He believes many of the lessons he has learned through fencing, such as discipline, perseverance, and respect, can also be applied to serving the AAPI community and making a true difference in the entire community.
